Beautycon POP is an experimental pop-up exhibit located in luxurious Los Angeles, loaded with 8 immersive galleries designed for that picture-perfect moment. In addition to the various stunning galleries, there is a free on-site salon for both hair and makeup touch ups or makeovers along with a curated shop with special discounts on indie brands that will make their way to your favorites list.

Thanks to the team at Beautycon, Crystal and I were lucky enough to be invited to a special networking night for influencers so we can scope out the interactive galleries and snap a few pics.

I’m going to be up front, I’m not the most confident person out there. I’m absolutely working on it but it’s definitely a process. Ever since these pop-up selfie galleries started…well, popping up, I’ve wanted to go. With all these vivid and gorgeous shots on my instagram feed, I wanted my own cute pictures to post as well but just wasn’t sure if it would be right for me so when the Beautycon team invited us, I was beyond excited to go.

When we walked in, there was a concierge to check-in, the salon and shop on the right and the first galleries to the left. We decided to skip the salon (a decision we later regretted) and head to the galleries first.

I don’t want to give too much of the galleries away because if you’re in the area, you should absolutely experience it for yourself. There’s endless confetti, unicorns, flowers and more, all ready for your selfies.

Everywhere we turned, there were adorable and glamourous mini-photoshoots taking place and Crystal and I didn’t know what to do. Everyone had multiple poses at their disposal while I had my signature, one arm up in my hair pose. The start of the night felt a bit awkward but the more the night progressed and more faces we saw and spoke to, the more empowering it felt. Everyone in attendance was supportive, cheering each other on when they noticed a bit a of shyness.

One gallery is a full-on Macy’s sponsored runway that I kind of wanted to partake in but slowly more people were trickling in and I tried letting them all go ahead of me so that I didn’t have faces watching. People definitely took notice and started saying words of encouragement to get me on the stage. I finally said yes and let me tell you, I felt exhilarated walking down that runway, music playing, fan blowing and supportive women all cheering me on. It was an experience that I was really glad I had and it absolutely never would have happened without Beautycon POP.
