The Review

Ok, listen. I’m not one for supplements. In all honesty, I’m not one to take any pill or soft gel other than ibuprofen and that’s only when I have a major headache or cramps. But I must say, I was quite curious when I received these in the mail.

I’ve known Nature’s Bounty for their multi-vitamins and supplements for a while and I was pretty stoked (but also really surprised) to see them step into the beauty space.

Nature’s Bounty has launched a variety of beauty gels that target specific beauty ailments from helping with sleep, complexion and even oral care.

The launch contains:

• GoodnightLovely

The packaging and overall aesthetic of each beauty gel in the line is super cute, however, each container looks practically empty even though there are approximately 70-95 gels in each jar. GoodnightLovely is a 35 day supply at 2 soft gels a day and I’ve been taking them for about 2 weeks.

Look, I’d be lying if I said I took these for the skincare claims.

I was originally so happy to get this specific product in the mail because I just have always had trouble sleeping. I usually eat melatonin gummies but had exhausted my supply and was just too lazy to go to the store for more. I took a couple of these hoping they’d work and to be completely honest, that first night, I’m not sure they did. But after taking them almost every night, I must say, I’m struggling to stay awake after 11PM (which is crazy considering I typically tend to fall asleep around 3 or 4AM).

And while my sleep has gotten much better and easier to come by, my skin has done a complete 180. I had really dry, cracked, dull skin for the end of 2018 and start of 2019. It lacked elasticity and just looked…sad. It looked unhealthy and like I wasn’t taking care of myself. I was drinking a ton of water but it felt like my body wasn’t retaining it well. I was breaking out and my skin was scarring (which was definitely my fault since I pick my face when I’m anxious lol).

But after taking GoodnightLovely every night, my skin feels and looks amazing. It’s soft, supple and plump. My skin tone has evened out and my breakouts have faded away. The only thing left behind are the darker scars from past scratchings. My complexion genuinely looks brighter, which in turn, makes me look almost happier and more natural.

I haven’t felt the need to wear makeup in a while. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I still wear it when I go on a date or something but I don’t feel embarrassed to go out without it. In fact, I’ve started to feel almost better without makeup on.

Overall, I absolutely love the GoodnightLovely Beauty Gels. When these run out, I am most likely going to rebuy them but now that these have worked so well, I’m curious to see how the other Beauty Gels work. So I just might switch it up and pick up a different ~flavour next time.
